Yes — we are ZF 8HP specialists. ZF rebuilds require genuine ZF Lifeguard 8 fluid, specific solenoid pack updates, mechatronic refresh, and temperature-monitored refill procedure. Most UAE workshops don’t have the tools or experience for proper ZF rebuilds. We have rebuilt over 100 ZF 8HPs since they came to market.
What about the notorious 948TE 9-speed transmission?
The 9-speed (ZF 948TE) in Compass, Renegade and Cherokee KL had well-known shift quality issues — Stellantis has issued multiple TSBs to address them. When we rebuild a 948TE, we use the updated TSB parts to fix the original design weaknesses. The result is a 9-speed that actually shifts properly. Most UAE shops won’t even touch this transmission.
